Re: “Reputation isn't enough for McClard's

You guys are missing the point of why McClard's is still a great BBQ place. It's not the meat, it's everything else.

Just like any other style of food, like Mexican as an example, BBQ styles vary wildly. Sometimes I'm in the mood for soft and moist meats, and other times I want McClard's!

McClard's beans, slaw, tamales, fries and sauce are definitely worth the trip for me. Yes, i like their sauce, but not on every style BBQ. I will get chopped pork, either on a sandwich with extra sauce, or on top of a customized spread (tamale, beans, slaw, chopped pork, hold the onion and chips).

If you're in the mood for moist meats, this is not your joint. And i do wish that McClard's offered a juicy pork butt option, but that's just not their style. I don't expect a burrito at the delicious Vina Morita either. No restaurant can be all things to all palettes, but McClard's will always be on my list for the things that I do love.
