Re: “State Rep. Hudson Hallum pleads wth 3 others in absentee vote fraud case; resigns from legislature

Phillip Carter has been involved with numerous campaigns around Crittenden County for years. It's been well known that his "absentee strategy" was available to the highest bidder. He and Sam have both worked as surrogates for the white good ol' boy power structure in the county. I've seen it firsthand. It's a total embarrassment. It's even more embarrassing that this could result in the election of an even more corrupt individual (and Mississippi resident), Fred Smith.

The Arkansas Green Party lost all credibility with me when they were willing to work with a crook like Smith. A sad day.

"To divert the electorate, the unscrupulous American politician will go after groups not regarded benignly by Old or New Testament.... Although our notions about what constitutes correct sexual behavior are usually based on religious texts, those texts are invariably interpreted by the rulers in order to keep control over the ruled." -Gore Vidal
