Re: “The third-party threat

I love this. As a Libertarian and Trevor Drown supporter, I keep hearing "if you vote for Trevor, you're going to end up splitting the vote and Lincoln is going to win". There is a rather large group of conservative Drown supporters who are constantly subjected to the same comment. Apparently, all reaches of the political spectrum hear the same fear tactics from people who are major-party operatives and want to see the voters continue to compromise their values. I've heard this nonsense for all my voting years, and I ask people to please explain how maintaining the current R/ D two party system has served us well. We now have a system where the corporation with the biggest checkbook makes the laws to suppress competition, gives itself exemptions to the law, and takes our money in the taxes we pay if they can't get it in the price we pay for the goods/ services they provide. We keep going to war with other nations. We are stuck in this brainwashed mindset, with manipulative fear thrown in by the Republicans and Democrats, that Independents and third parties can't win. They can't win because the work involved in a grass roots effort to undo the real problem, the 2-party career politician system, apparently is a bigger burden than the government we constantly complain about. I encourage everyone here who really wants to see either Drown or Gray succeed in this election to get active and involved in the campaign. These guys aren't going to have huge amounts of money to work with because they are not bought and paid for politicians. While every dollar you can give helps them, they need hard-working volunteers more than anything.
