Re: “Cathi Compton also in circuit judge race

If you think Cathleen Compton represents justice, fairness and honesty then you had better think again. I was one of the victims of the lawsuits she and Dustin McDaniel sued, all in the name of "protecting Arkansas consumers". I can't speak for every case they brought against Arkansas citizens, but I know for certain, that in the case they brought against me, it was riddled with much dishonesty and the cover up of the important facts in the case. First, Cathleen and the judge who presided over my case (who incidently sided with the state on every issue throughout the entire investigation and trial and post trial actions-Mackie Pierce-better watch out for him too) served as officers in a state organization yet the judge did not recuse himself nor did he or Cathleen reveal their connection before or during the trial. I found out about their connection after it was too late to do anything about it. Secondly, Cathleen had the facts to show that I was innocent of what she was accusing me of, including an FBI investigation that revealed no wrong-doing on my part, state records and investigations that showed no wrong doing on my part, a mountain of written documents that showed my innocence, and multiple witnesses who worked in the same institution where I worked, that she failed to even talk to. Of the few witnesses she used at trial who actually worked with me, they were all witnesses who were disgruntled employees with an "ax to grind" or were direct competitors who benefited from my trial loss. She used these people to weave a tell of lies and deceit for the jury and the judge to hear at my trial. The consumer witnesses that the state used had affidavits and depositions and trial testimony that was thick with inconsistencies and in some cases just plain untruths. Even when these untruth's were brought out at the trial, nothing was done to these people who purjured themselves. And in fact, my attorney received a "tongue lashing" from the judge, stating that my attorney was taking too much time in cross-examining the state's witnesses who incidently had almost 20 to hear from but when I asked for witnesses to speak for me, I was told there wasn't enough time to hear my witnesses. Anyone who believes that our justice system is fair and that the citizens of Arkansas receive fair trials better look into the situation a little closer and be afraid. My professional and financial life was ruined all because McDaniel and Compton needed ammunition for publicity to fuel their future political aspirations. Huge companies have the money to stand up for themselves and fight these people with expensive lawyers. At one point, I had my attorney offer to settle with the state out of desperation due to the fact that I was already in financial ruin trying to fight for my innocense. McDaniel and Compton were willing to settle had I had money to give them to fuel their advertising campaigns touting how they protect Arkansans...... when in fact they take away our rights and lie to serve themselves. However, I did not have the money to hire expensive lawyers to fight them nor did I have money to satisfy their greed. The ironic thing about the whole situation is that I truly believed, from the time I was served with the lawsuit and until 3 years later when it was brought to trial that "justice would prevail" and the truth would come out and the whole nightmare would be over. I am here to tell you that justice did not prevail and the truth was covered up, in large part by Cathleen Compton. If you are thinking about voting her into a judge position then please think again!
