Re: “New poll: 'GOP leads ticket in Arkansas'

We need Democratic Party candidates to take strong public stances affirming the secularity of a strong State economy, a strong job market, a strong pro-youth and education policy, a strong pro-elderly and disabled policy, and a "rebuild rural Arkansas' roads and bridges" policy. The Democratic Party candidates need to articulate that rebuilding Arkansas has nothing to do with whether you are Methodist, Mormon, Baptist or Pentecostal...or whether you were in church at all last Sunday. Arkansas is only as strong as the proverbial 'weakest link in the chain,' in current terms -- promoting jobs with benefits; access to all levels of education, taking care of our elderly, and rebuilding our own infrastructure (construction jobs). Dem's need to run on a point of strength -- 'we are a party who really cares what happens to you.'

Re: “Game and Fish Commission disagrees with Exxon’s conclusion that 'there are no unacceptable ecological risks' in cove of Lake Conway due to Mayflower oil spill

I dedicate this song to a state government agency that has a sworn task of keeping us from polluting harm and danger..."Where o where are you tonight? Why did you leave me here all alone??....." and we slid down the oily, smelly slope from being "The Natural State" to being a sad mess.
