Re: “Former Arkie provides a platform for alt-right

The author of the comment "Hate and politics, Anna. Do try to be more honest, and less half hearted with the truth" has produced the most stupid comment I have seen in my memory. To suggest the killing done by Joe Stalin was done without hate and liberal in nature doesn't have a clue about history of the USSR and how greed and hate drove that country. Calling what happened in the USSR a outbreak of liberalism is --well stupid. As to China, during WW2 the Nationalists and Communists allied to fight off Japan. Suggesting the defense of their country as a liberalism outbreak just shows ignorance of what commies and liberals are. After WW2 Mao did show how brutal Communism can be.

Re: “Ten Commandments monument public comment meeting contentious as committee member tells speakers their comments will neither help or hinder the process.

Gee, since I am a Roman Catholic I am certain they will use the Catholic rather than Protestant version of the 10 Commandments. Actually, ours is also used by Lutherans so I correct myself, the Catholic/Lutheran 10 Commandments. The Catholic 10 Commandments have been in use for 2000 plus years while the Protestant set are new comers in comparison. Of course, choosing the Catholic or Protestant set of Commandments will by necessity mean the State has chosen one of these religions over the other. Both are Christian but choosing one type of Christianity over another does mean the State is establishing a religion and as such violating the US Constitution.
