Re: “Bill introduced to ban Howard Zinn books from Arkansas public schools

Censorship = Republican Conservatism = Fascism & Nationalism = Christian Sharia Law Enforcement. What part of Liberty and Freedom do ye religious fools NOT understand? Idiocy and ignorance abounds. Want your bible to be next? It can be arranged. Keep it up morons.

Re: “Beware: Sen. Jason Rapert is armed (if not with good judgment)

Why is the other "Ten Commandments" not considered? I don't get it? One of the best-kept secrets in the discussions on the Ten Commandments concerns the fact that (according to the story) Moses smashed the first set of tables in a fit of anger, because the Israelites chose to worship the golden calf.

As the tale goes, Moses smashed the tables of stone, and God said he'd make a new set of tables containing "the words that were on the first" (Exodus 34:1). However, as we see on the second page, the second Ten Commandments in no way resemble the first set. To popularize this knowledge is to knock the wind out of this entire move to place "The" Ten Commandments in our schools or displayed on public government property.

Do religious zealots know this? Could one argue whether or not Mister Rapert is perhaps delusional, possibly ignorant of this historical fact or could it be determined that he and others like him might be mentally ill? There is no way Christianity can have its voice without Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Paganism or Satanism having their voices as well. I didn’t even include Humanism.

Re: “Rainbow stew

Ralph Nader spoke years ago regarding Theodore Dreiser who put it very well, that even in years previous, Dreiser made it known that "the corporations are the government".

Even more, the Billionaire class oligarchs push entertainment football and arena venues on to the taxpayer in the form of the dangling carrot theory (which works) and instead of the Billionaires paying for the construction venues, the taxpayers often find themselves on the hook. Also, taxpayers are stuck paying for often senseless corrupt professional teams that either don't fare well or worse, relocate leaving cities and communities near bankruptcy. Nationwide state and local subsidies for corporations totaled more than $70 billion in 2010, as calculated by Professor Kenneth Thomas of the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Warren Buffet, the Walton Family, the Koch Bros and many in the Billionaire class (name most Billionaires) have profited and gained off of the middle-classes and various cities and communities with chess like game Corporate Welfare Subsidies. Big AGRI, Big OIL, Big PHARMA and MEDICAL as well as Big AUTO and Big RETAIL have benefited off the tax payer-as Mega Corporations have manipulated and strong-armed local, state and the Federal government into agreements while profiting. The local business leaders were duping into falling for their bulling, coercion and intimidating business tactics in order to deceive.

Look at Oklahoma big ENERGY and fracking! It’s destroyed the homeowners in much of the northern part of the state, even affecting some of us here in NW Arkansas. Can you say earthquakes? How is it fair that Billion dollar global corporations can benefit from quasi-socialist implementation and government manipulation and not the citizenry? The average working poor have been quietly abused and fooled while the ultra-wealthy have profited and gained from their trust and charade.

No more. Bernie will destroy the Banksters and we’ll all be better off. If he’ll audit “The Fed”, it’ll even be better. http://blogs.reuters.com/david-cay-johnsto…

Re: “Fayetteville teacher gets an education on the Pledge of Allegiance
