Re: “Razorback women take a knee during National Anthem; angry fans erupt

I believe in the freedom of speech. I don't believe anyone should be punished in this situation. My husband is a veteran and he served two deployments while I was at home with two children under the age of six, both times. As many veterans are stating, he feels strongly that he served to protect the constitution. We truly believe that we can't make exceptions on when and to whom freedom is allowed. It's due to all people.

We can't change the facts. But I do disagree that taking a knee during a time to show honor and respect to those who have sacrificed is appropriately helping their cause.

How does taking a knee during our National Anthem bring about the change they desire? I'm not sure that it's bringing attention to the right cause. All American's should be thankful for their freedom, there's no place like America. Imperfect...we are...but free we are too. Let's never take our freedoms for granted and proudly honor those who make it possible.

Perhaps this action has caused a lot of differences of opinion, but I don't know that it's reaching the heart of the problem nor causing any positive changes.
