Re: “Protest develops on Burns Park goose hunt UPDATE

First of all im a avid hunter. I dont think that killing these geese is unreasonable. First of all these geese are resident geese , They are not migrating canadian geese . You could chase them off with border collies or with radio controlled airplanes . But the end result will be the same either way , canadian or snow ,or even speckle belly geese have a buildt in g.p.s. system buildt into them that will bring them back to where the were hatched no matter where you move them to. Why do you think they return back to the breeding grounds in canada after cold weather where they are over populated and dieing by the hundreds everyday and this is with no interventions from humans . Wow why dont all the do gooders go to Canada and stop these geese from overpopulating in their natural breeding grounds. JWS makes comments such as calling people rednecks and hillbillies ,for which i resent because i am from Arkansas born and raised here and i believe that my forefathers fought and died for for me and Jws to have the right to hunt fish and not call people names that we dont even know anything about in this world. One of my questions to all the people who are protesting the organized goose hunt in Burns Park is have any of you ever gone to a slaughter house or meat processing plant and seen how cows ,chickens, or pigs are processed in these places. For the most of you no you probably havent. I worked in one in Little Rock years ago , they are walked in slaughter rooms one behind the other to be killed for slaughter chickens are hung by thier feet alive to be slaughtered ,pigs were electrocuted to a state of unconuious them killed . If you had you probably would not go to the steak house the burger places or anyplace that you would eat a piece of meat of any kind , Because every time that you eat meat of any kind a animal has to die to provide you with that steak or burger . Think about that for a minute , every steak, burger , chicken or bacon ham You make the demand for that meat and that means that another animal had to be killed for you to have that nice piece of meat . And all of these animals were at one time wild , but we domesticated them for our own needs ( how selfish are we ) .Also how many animals die so we can have makeup ,perfumes and colognes. Awe thats ok these are things we have to have to have to live we cant live without them can we. I bet the nice looking lady on the news leading the protest is wearing makeup and she probably had some kind of meat for dinner last night , not sure but i bet she had both. Alot of people could benefit from this hunt . We have alot of people in Arkansas that wont have a good Christmas dinner because of economic conditions or other reasons ,Well the geese will be given to at least 100 familys that might otherwise not have anything for Christmas dinner and most people have never eaten goose and dressing and it is really very good . The good people of Arkansas that like to hunt have been feeding the hungry for quite some time , I personally dont hunt for trophys i hunt for the enjoyment of being in the woods with nature , And if i shoot a deer or goose i will eat the meat from what nature has made available for me it does not go to waste. Enough said i hope all that get a goose enjoys it and the ones that get them donated ones also enjoy it is wonderfull table fair and by the way next year the geese that are killed in this hunt will be replaced by others by this time next year good luck on the hunt and Merry Christmas to all even JWS
