Rablib - you are misinformed. Any parent, regardless of race, ethnicity or socio-economic status, may enroll their child in a charter school tuition-free. Academics Plus will pay for the student to ride CAT to school if transportation is an issue. The school will provide a free or reduced breakfast and lunch if the student qualifies, just the same as if they attend a traditional public school. The school must provide services to students with special needs. I cannot understand why anyone would consider that reinstitution of segregation, especially when the charter school is more integrated than the traditional public schools, which is often the case in Pulaski County.
