Re: “Main Street developer puts MM Cohn, Hall buildings up for sale

Main St. nostalgia...back in the 20's and early 30's my mother, then Dora Stafford, worked at Alsop and Chapel book store and then had a lending library at Pfeifer's. In the early 70's I returned to Little Rock and went to work for Poe Travel, then located on the 5th floor of the Boyle Bldg. Ate lunch at Franke's every day. The old guys running the elevators were the greatest. The Ledbetter landlords took excellent care of the place from their perch on the top floor. Looks like hopes for further Renaissance are seriously threatened, but the mayor and city power brokers will come to the rescue. The Arts Corridor is too important a cultural project for the city not to step in and salvage the transformation.
