Re: “Looking down the barrel of a gun in Popeye's

A probation/parole officer employed by the state of Arkansas is in fact a certified law enforcement officer. They carry a Glock which has not one but three safeties on it, and the gun will not fire on a malfunction unless the malfunction is the person pulling the trigger. And like another person said earlier, unless the other customer was laying on the ground, they weren't looking down the barrel of a gun. As far as body armor, yes they wear bullet resistant vest because like any other officer, they don't like the idea of being shot. They want to be sure to go home to their family as well. I bet they make a lot of people mad by enforcing the court and parole board ordered conditions, and never know if that one person or their family willing try and act stupid against them. Most of these officers have a college degree, experience in law enforcement, or military background. They are there to promote public safety. And normally the only people who don't like the law, are the ones breaking it.
