No matter how good of a person he is or what he does he broke the law. The Bible says we are to follow the laws of the land. He is someone that students and adults both look up to and go to for advise. Nobody is perfect but that doesnt mean what he did was okay. He broke the law, period. A death row inmate is on death row for a reason. Taking away his right to smoke is not cruel by any means. He did the crime and is now paying for it. It was not a good decision for Father Charlie to do what he did because he broke a law and knew what he was doing when he did it. He is doing a wonderful thing by visiting these prisioners but what kind of example is he to them if he is willing to break the law as well. A sin is a sin, but we are not to judge.
