Re: “The rifleman: Chad Causey

Well I guess not, seems like people were more inclined to vote for Crawford. Who gives a shit if he has a hunting license? I don't have a press pass, but I support the first amendment, because it's OUR right and I support citizens keeping their rights. I would also vote to let McDonald's sell to overweight people, and yes that's an issue in Mississippi, and I imagine ole Max wants my support if it becomes an issue here.

Re: “Wanted: More guns on campus UPDATE

Btw, as a testimony to the maturity and responsibility of concealed weapon permit holders in Arkansas, Max Brantley was not shot. He certainly provoked it by his inflammatory behavior, but responsible citizens realize that stupidity is not punishable by death. Try listing the names and zip codes of everyone that has been convicted of a felony in Arkansas, Max. That should show you the difference pretty quickly.

Re: “Wanted: More guns on campus UPDATE

It's the projection of fear onto an inanimate object that causes people to think that way. It's conditioned into us. Anything can reasonably be used as a weapon, little league baseball players carry weapons that are illegal to carry in a vehicle. It's on the books, the point is intent. Arguments against legal gun carrying also assume that everyone is of the same mindset, as in assuming that if you drop your wallet somewhere it is automatically gone because EVERYONE is a thief waiting to find unattended property. I challenge you to find one instance of unprovoked gun violence by a legal concealed weapon carrier for every 1000 instances of unprovoked gun violence by an unlicensed person. The idea behind a concealed weapon is this: You don't start a fight with a bigger guy, because you will lose. Guns are an equalizer, and if it's not possible to tell who has one, then criminals are less likely to target ANYONE fo fear of being shot. Find the flaw in that logic, along with the one case and I will acknowledge your argument. If you can't accept this fact: The concealed weapons holder next to you and your family makes your family safer than they were before.
