Re: “Albert Pike camping area in limbo

I've been camping at Albert pike since i was 3 years old, fall and Spring AND summer, each year. I'm now 31 and take my son. I have only missed one year, for obvious reasons. Cabins are an option, but its just not the same... river side is the only way I get that flash back to the good ol' days. I cant wait until it opens. I'm a Texan, and I applause and admire all of you in Arkansas that are trying to get your local Parks and Wildlife the funding they need to get things back to basics.

Teresa, I'd like to go over memorial day (went last year and it was just crazy cramped). In the Free areas your speaking of, is that on the drive that you go past the swimming hole and go up that road up the mountain around the APK starting hike point for the winding staircase?

I dont mind being far out.. sucks not having water near by, but its still Albert Pike.

Thanks, Jared Brown Mount Pleasant TX

If anyone has some good advice for a Memorial day camp ( i do have ATVs), it would be MUCH appreciated. I will call Jessie at the store also and see what he would suggest. I dont mind clearing some weeds up for a tent ground..part of the fun. 214-669-5600
