Re: “The class of 2016

Government by the People means we have to be active citizens. I am greatful for those eho are stepping up so that we do have a choice of candidates. I hope people will vote for the best candidate, the one that does reglect their own values and overall interests, not just a party or one issue. Most of all, we all need to vote. I am dissapointed in the majority of white voters in Alabama and greatful to the African American voters who refused to let blatant voter intimidation suppress them. But the high percentage of all citizens who didnt bother to vote is sad. Don't like your choices, run yourself or write in a candidate to let both parties know you are calling them out. Be a responsible citizen. We have yerm limits on every elected office. Its called voting.

Re: “ACLU: School crisis 60th no time for celebration. Plus, a message for the governor

There are many community organizations, activists, and institutions that have activities one can choose from to honor the Nine, including several showcasing today's students. Step up and be the change this weekend. Choose the activity, event, exhibit or organization that reflects your vision for the future or answers your questions about the past. Too many people stayed home or took flight in '57. Fortunately, the Nine, Daisy & LC Bates, the NAACP, Women's Emergency Committee, S.T.O.P., among others didn't. Resegregation is a national issue. Staying home won't fix it. Uca.edu/cgac/central60 Arkansas Arts Center, Dunbar Community Festival, Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, Arkansas Peace Fest, NPS.GOV/CHSC.

Re: “The biking news

Actually, the Southwest Trail will go from Little Rock Central High School NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE to Hot Springs National Park, connecting two National Park Service parks.

Re: “Intracity tourism

I love being a tourist in my own backyard. One of the advantages of being a renter is that I have been able to live in different meighborhoods and experience both sides of 630, both sides of the Arkansas River. My cycling, walking and kayaking activities have enabled me to exolore the wonderful parks and trails. Even after years as a resident, I am still discovering new to me local gems. This article reminded me to put on my to do list to take one whole day to just hop on Rock Region Metro and see where all it takes me. When traveling to cities, I have found just hopping on Public Transportation Systems to be the best introduction to local culture and geography. I bet I discover many more facets to the Rock Cities.

Re: “French Hill emerges to meet public — for 60 minutes, mid-afternoon on work day, with Tom Cotton UPDATE

I was very upset with the sham tela-townhall and let his office know. However, Hill himself did attend my neighborhood association meeting this week.
