Mark - Thank you! Maybe I have just had exceptional luck when ordering the House margarita at CL. The fruit ones are sweeter than I prefer, but I didn't think they were so sweet to completely invalidate them.

Big Fun - That is a pretty good recipe, though I would skimp on the sweetener for personal preferences. If I recall my general fruit to liquid conversions, we are looking at ~150ml of juice which is pretty close to our recipe here asking for 180ml for three people.

Even if Raimondo is not vinting the wine here, that puts us at a distillery, a winemaker, and half a dozen breweries in the downtown LR/NLR center. Pretty exciting.

Christie is really doing a great job and service to the hospitality industry by creating this concept. I know she's got plans to make it even better and it is always a blast spending time with her and dropping in on Industry NIght to see friends who are in the industry (though I have long since passed back into amateur status).

I was really impressed. I won't spend too much time on the flowery words and bite-by-bite descriptions, as I am working on a thing for the blog but count me as very happy. Every restaurant has some hiccups opening and along the way, but there is a consistent quality in the YR spots that makes them so worth returning. This may be one of the more ambitious ones yet just because it has a more diverse menu compared to their other restaurants, though the Ark-Mex theme should help keep that tight.

On Burgers, well, there are enough different styles that the question of the "best" comes down to some truly subjective preferences on the meaty-greasy and diner-cheffy axes. Yes, I've thought about this quite a lot. I am also excited to see the paywall drop as it means the strikes against me on the news side don't prevent me from having the tokens left to quibble away over here.

Beast is just plain tasty food served some of the more awesome people working the circuit today. I may have the distinction of being one of the, if not the, first paying customer when they set up by George Jett's oh so long, but quite so long, ago.

A great line up this weekend. Also, Simon Majumdar is doing a session for the Arkansas Literary Festival, sponsored by the Little Rock CVB, for his Fed, White, and Blue book. It is 5:00pm on Saturday at the Oxford American Annex (next to South on Main in what once was the Juanitas dining room).
