Re: “Judge Griffen writes about morality, Christian values and executions

Par for the course. If he does not play the race card, he plays the Jesus card. One thing about folks who mix public service and the clergy, they are consistent.

Re: “Wednesday's open line

Jeffery Damon Avery you are busted for posting as your wife Terri Avery and for the terrible web site and accompanying Facebook page. That is if she is still your wife. As they say round these parts, "Yo in a hep of trouble boy" unless both disappear and soon. You may not have anything in your name but that is not going to save your sorry butt from legal recourse. Just sayin...Wise up.

Re: “Judge Griffen defends granting temporary restraining order in execution drug case, protesting death penalty

Yes Artificial intelligence, and it is an on-coming train.
It is past time for clowns to be standing in the middle of some dark street and not sitting on the circuit court and it appears this clown's time just may be coming. I am not disputing the rationale for the judgment, what he does not get is it is what he did after the ruling.

Re: “Judge joins death penalty vigil

It is time to remove Judge Griffen from the bench. I have no objection about him expressing his views - although I disagree with most. The objection is when someone goes into a courtroom, they are entitled to the confidence the judge will be neutral. Judge Griffen through his writings, speeches, and now acting the fool laying on the grass in front of the governor's mansion indicates he is predisposed on certain sensitive issues. He should have recused from hearing any death penalty related cases yet ruled on one last week. Some will argue that by dismissing it he showed an ability to put his views aside but I argue it is the appearance that is important. Well spoken, opinionated and entitled to his views but no longer entitled to sit on the bench in judgment of others.

Re: “UPDATE: Supreme Court halts Griffen order that state produce execution drug information

If Judge Griffen were not a Black man, he would have been booted out of office long ago. I am not saying his views are wrong, only that they are not views ad decisions made by an impartial jurist. He wants it both ways and gets away with it because of his race.

Re: “Bid to require racial impact statements fails again

Perhaps the reason for 43 percent of the prison population is black is because they were convicted of committing a crime. Maybe if Senator Elliott would find a way to stop 16 percent of the population from committing a disproportionate amount of crimes in Arkansas, the number of blacks in the prison system would be lower. What would be interesting is to see the home town's of the 43 percent when the crime was committed and where the crime was committed. Want to bet it will stem from an area South of I-40 and East of I-30. The same legislators who complain about blacks in prison complain about racial profiling which may be a detriment in some cases to those thinking about committing a crime and carrying an illegal gun if they think they may be profiled. I am not advocating racial profiling but you reap what you sow.
