Re: “Arkansas passes an 11 Commandments bill

The state of Kentucky had to take their ten commandments monument down as it violated the constitution. Texas got to keep theirs as it was deemed historical as it had been erected in the 1940's. The supreme court ruled that the one in Kentucky violated the Establishment clause of the First Amendment, which prohibits government from endorsing or supporting one religion above others. The justices also ruled 5-4 that the ten commandments aren't allowed to be displayed on government property.
