Re: “Felons regaining gun rights

I know a guy who owned a pickup truck that his friend put a stolen tool box in without knowing the tool box was stolen. He was convicted of a felony. No violence or nothing,,just owned the truck the stolen tool box was placed in and was caught with it the next day. He did NOT steal it or have knowledge of it being stolen. He was placed on probation, which he completed and paid all fees concerning the "crime." When he became eligible he paid his $1,000 to get his record expunged. With that action he got his voting rights back but NOT his right to own a gun. He was told he would have to pay another $1,000 and get a pardon from the governor before he could get his gun rights back, IF the governor was in the mood. The guy had never been in trouble in his whole life. Just this one incident. What kind of sense does this make? It is like you have to pay and beg in the state of Arkansas to get your rights back. This needs to be changed!
