Re: “House Speaker Jeremy Gillam releases budget detailing cuts if Medicaid expansion ends (UPDATES)

"The House members are always very data-driven," Gillam said.

Uh, are we talking about the same House that ignored all the data showing that drug testing people on assistance was a waste of money?

Re: “The pope, climate change, charity, Krugman: Things to like this morning

I read the interview, my apologies, I figured it was an opinion piece because it says OPINION there at the top, easy mistake. I don't think there's anything there to warrant your term "infamous" but okay I read it.

Does Sanders have exact plans for how every last idea is going to work? No, but who at all knows what they will do exactly at a job they don't even have yet? I think he has ideas, good ideas, and I struggled to find anything really fundamentally wrong with his intentions and statements. They were needling him on specifics and though he was pressed I imagine he did at least as well as any other candidate would have done, we won't ever really know because I doubt Hillary would tolerate that level of interrogation and scrutiny. Personally, I'll opt for the vague attempt at a better future than a guaranteed unfair status quo every time.

Finally, if a voting record isn't "accomplishing anything" then why bother with representative democracy at all? What should he be out there doing? Getting arrested for social causes? Oh wait...

Deadsea,

It's amusing that you link to three different opinion blogs then demand "specific research" and citations from everyone else. Where's your research, dog?

You want me to provide references for what Sanders has accomplished on climate issues? Okay, how about a scorecard for every one of his votes from the league of conservation voters, will that do?

I like Greenwald's analysis of the dismissive and played out term "Bernie Bro" you seem so enamored with, I won't paraphrase you can go look it up yourself. Personally, I think you would be better served with something more honest like "Bernie Kids" or "Generation Bernie" since he wins substantially among both male and female voters under 45, you know, the future. Oh you also mention the Pope, and who just got invited to the Vatican? It was Bernie Sanders. Before that you brought up man made climate change, and who has the stronger platform to actually stop the causes of that? I'll give you a hint- It isn't the candidate taking money from fossil fuel lobbyists. It's like you spent a lot of time making a case for Bernie Sanders before trying to dismiss him with that Krugman bit. Weeeeak.
