Re: “ACLU investigating Mills High showing of 'Passion of the Christ,' teacher's classroom rant about 'liberalism' after complaints

@Another Student at Mills just because a teacher lets you eat in class doesn't mean they are a bad teacher. Even the Scholars teachers are letting students eat in class. One break to eat is not enough for 7 hours of school. Just saying.

It does not have anything to do with it I was just as confused as you when he was doing this. He isn't the best teacher. He does do some pretty controversial things. Usually he teaches us history. This is just not an example of it.

Vanessa, please forgive me for not knowing what you meant. But I was really talking about the part you said his students could not pass a basic civics test. I sure could. Believe it or not, there are actually some bright students in his class and even our school. Don't be fooled because of people like ihatefags. I don't want anyone to think that I agree with his views but I just don't want people thinking he is a bad person. He actually has taught me some interesting things in that class. He does know his history it is just his views that go with it that do not make him seem that good of a teacher.

I'm one of his students and I can easily pass a civics test. I don't agree with what he is saying but I am tired of everyone thinking his students are dumb. I don't like it when people are saying I am concerned for our future because of someone's views. Not saying I don't but just because someone doesn't agree with gay marriage doesn't mean they are necessarily a bad person. And if someone actually agrees with him doesn't mean they are a bad person. And I am tired of you people saying high school students should not be allowed to watch rated R movies. The legal age is 17 and he teaches a 11th grade course. GET A GRIP!!! High school students are cursing and having sex so it shouldn't be a big deal. Just because someone doesn't have the same views doesn't mean they are a bad person. Like Vanessa and mountaingirl you people need to quit thinking you are all better than people.

I will have to agree with Ms. Langley. This is not that big of a deal. He was just expressing his views. Although, he did not do it in the best way. Since there are terms at PCSSD that say students will not be subjected to Bible teaching he should have just got a warning and it should have been done with. He didn't single any of his students out by calling them what he did at his other school which I agree he should have gotten fired for. But this is not that big of a deal. He just needs to watch what he says and does in his classes so this won't happen again because it will get blown out of proportion and so he won't get fired.
