Price: $$-$$$

Bar Details

A two-story affair, with the big room upstairs used for concerts and the downstairs and patio area dedicated to the restaurant. There are bars on each floor. The downstairs one is a cozy little thing, tucked away in a corner, with enough seating for a half-dozen souls and a flat screen TV located in a convenient spot. There's a good selection of beers — with emphasis on Mexican brews, natch — and a respectable array of Tequila, including the nectar-like Hussong's Reposado.

Features: , , , , , , ,

• $2.50 regular margartias; $2 domestics draft beers.
Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri, 4pm-6pm

Cheese dip Details

Remember that great white cheese dip from the Blue Mesa Grill? Here's where to go get it these days. The place has been known for years for its yellow chili con queso; we far prefer the queso blanco and its delicious sharp notes.

Music venue Details

Under new ownership in 2010, the venue turned its focus to "mainstream" acts. That still encompasses most genres, but there's an emphasis on hard rock, pop and country. Age limit, cover and times vary. No smoking.

When the man of the night finally showed his face to a compacted and subdued, Disney-Channel-and-dubstep demographic (most of whom had been sobering up for the better part of three hours, these kids banned from the bar and subject to a no-reentry rule), Waka Flocka Flame began to make with either a half-assed, cash grab show to a thin crowd or something accidentally truer and more intimate than that.
