Re: “Collin Raye and the lost anthems of Little Rock”
I always liked Reba McEntire's "Little Rock," even though it isn't really about that fair city. Collin Raye's song used to inspire me as I would listen to it driving through DeQueen on my way back and forth to college (Fort Smith to Shreve City). I went to medical school so I wouldn't have to sell VCR's or moving picture boxes or any such in some small town not even big enough for a SuperCenter. Y'all should stick with a southwest Arkansas motif and come up with some musings about Tracy Lawrence tunes. He was Collin's neighbor growing up in Foreman (Little River Co.), you know. They also had a good run of UFO sightings over there in Foreman back in the 80's. Keep up the good work.
