Re: “Arkansas voter information for sale on 'dark web'

I googled myself just two days ago and found my voter registration information was readily available on the regular web. I really want to move just to make the public information outdated.

Re: “For Bernie Sanders

I particularly like the last sentence: "Sanders is building a stronger America that works for all of us — one that supports the middle class and ensures that all communities are supported by the government."

I have worked in Economic Development and still try to keep up! Because of our trade policies since the Clinton administration, all levels of our government have spent by now billions on subsidizing industry in our own country. We have low- and no-interest loans, tax abatement and no end of subsidies for businesses, while ordinary consumers pay high-interest rates or can't get loans. And many of the businesses that the government subsidizes fail within a year or two. Why not change our trade policies instead of continuing to spend our tax money on trying to shore up American manufacturing??!!

I actually regret my time spent in Economic Development. I look around now and I see that I was like a banker making bad loans to businesses that failed within 2 years or spending taxpayer money on subsidizing industries that pay minimal wages to workers and destroy labor unions while exponentially increasing CEO pay. If I could I'd take every bit of that money and invest in schools. I've also been a teacher and believe that most schools need to dramatically reduce child to teacher ratios so that our students can get the individual attention they need. I'd hire more teachers and teacher's aides. All spending creates jobs! But not all spending has positive results! I believe spending on education and infrastructure is a much better investment than this constant subsidizing of corporations. If giving money to corporations was a good investment, banks would do it. Instead we have taxpayers investing in things that private banks won't touch.

I listen to now Sen. Bernie Sanders old speeches on youtube and think, "We should have listened to Bernie years ago!!!" He was right on trade, right on war, right on so many issues!

Re: “Rainbow stew

Honeymoon in the Soviet Union?? Yes, it was soon after he and Jane married and she accompanied him, but it was on city business when he was mayor - established a sister-city program with a city in the Soviet Union.

"OK, so I'm being a smart aleck." Yes, you were and it was not worth publishing. Bernie has been speaking on issues for decades. I am fairly new to Arkansas and I am meeting more people. My new "Bernie friends." And they are excited that a candidate is issue oriented and shares actual information. They are excited about a candidate with values.

People are really hungry for serious discussion of issues and serious government action on issues.

People are serious about peace - maybe like in things like visiting Russia to establish a sister-city program. People are serious about climate change, the quality of our food, serving our veterans, actually managing the Social Security program rather than turning it over to investors. People are serious about families being able to pay their bills and raise their children. People are seriously interested in improving our country's infrastructure. People are serious about getting good healthcare for their healthcare dollars spent. People are serious about trade policies as they see manufacturing jobs in this country further disappear.

A lot of people, I am one, respect and are going to vote for Bernie on March 1 in the Arkansas primary.
