Re: “Naramore case a long way from over

If you followed the account of the trial in the Dem/Gazette, the judge made numerous stops that day. First McDonalds, then to his job, then to pick up steaks, then to buy a spa treatment for his wife, then to buy wine, then home. Are you telling me that he Never noticed his son during all of those times in and out of the car? I agree with the concept that he is definitely not qualified to judge the fitness of a parent. He got away free with absolutely no accountability. But then he is a "judge". He was never going to be held responsible. The trial was just a joke. And the theatrics of the people in the gallery, was ridiculous. They wailed when they were sad and they wailed when they were happy. Pick a spot people. The loss of any child is always tragic, and I feel for any parent who has lost one, including the Naramore's, but the lack of any charges for something that horrific was shameful.

Re: “Naramore case a long way from over

The thing that upsets me about this entire situation, is the unfairness of it all. Shortly after the death of Thomas Naramore, there were two similar "accidents" in other parts of the country. In both of these situations, the parent at fault is serving time in prison. They loved their child as much as the Judge loved Thomas. However, instead of getting a year off of work WITH pay, to be able to grieve with their support system, they went to jail. Once again a politician gets off scot free. I am so tired of preferential treatment for the "elite".
