Re: “Texas judge who beat daughter: 'not as bad as it looks'

I find this harrowing. I couldn't watch even a full minute of it. To see a fully grown man attack his own distraught, pleading, daughter with demonic venom.
It is true that people twist everything to suit themselves, they can read the Bible, the whole lot, and back this violence against a little unwell girl. They can short circuit logic, decent behaviour, rules and regulations, all voicing dissent, because of the violence and evil in their own hearts. That is what this is, evil. The interesting thing about evil is it often tries to cloak itself as 'good'. The most cunning manipulators run a show of cruelty, abuse and torture, whilst presenting themselves as pillars of the community. The types that Christ said were unclean:
Teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You clean the outside of your cup and plate, while the inside is full of what you have gotten by violence and selfishness.
27 "How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look fine on the outside but are full of bones and decaying corpses on the inside. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear good to everybody, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and sins.

Where are the REAL quotes of Christianity, that represent Christ, rather than the primitive Old Testament. There is an easy way to see if something is 'Christian' at all, is it non-violent, based on love and compassion?

What about Christ's teachings of: What you shall do to the least of my brethern, you do to me. The Golden Rule, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Proverbs 10:6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
My take on Christianity, humanity and decency is that love is what makes family, home, work even the whole world work. Violence is the opposite of love. Bully boy corner boy aggression against a defenceless girl is right up there with the most evil demonic acts.

These people must be stopped, harming, terrorizing. It is illegal here in Ireland to beat up and attack a child or spouse. Traumatising vulnerable people is wrong. There are human rights issues here. Just as so called Child bride abuse in some jurisdictions is not illegal, it cannot be ignored, also beating people in their home cannot be allowed. Living with the threat of beatings is a damaging upbringing. This is one world, human rights are above twisted humans trying to pretend God is backing up their evil acts.

I am without doubt that the beatings either created her condition or significantly contributed to her disability. This abuse probably began while her mother was pregnant. The stress and trauma to the nervous system, never mind the physical violence will seriously affect development.

When I hear this utter bull about "spanking", and see a crazed attacker terrorizing a girl, using severe force, time and time again, I get so angry. This is an abusive act of control inflicted with abuse and aggression. Any excuse would do the 'Judge', this is him, this is HIS behaviour. He may use excuses, there is no excuse, he is a bully, a cowardly evil, violent one. It was not even something he did in a split second of madness, he sustained it 7 times longer than I could even bear to watch. I fast forwarded through it, and repeatedly this monster drew down with all his might and force to bring pain, humiliation and terror. At no point did he show regret, he did not show compassion. He did to his own child what a decent person could not do to a dog. He had no pity. Her crime was apparently Downloading Music illegally!!!!! I'm quite sure taking her phone, getting her to pay the fine, or grounding her would have sufficed. But you see, the judge needed a whipping boy/girl to take out his aggression on, and Bingo! there was the excuse. The girl knew he would do it, and was prepared to record it, because he had done it before. Is there really a person on this earth supporting abuse of a defenceless scrap of humanity? Are feeble/evil brains openly supporting a reign of terror like this? If a person is so twisted you can read The Bible and especially The New Testament, supporting bullying, harming and violence like this, they really, really need help. Or to be locked up, I don't feel safe with these people walking about. The bottom line is:

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
