Re: “2nd District debate set

I can tell you as a participant in the debate last night in Jonesboro that it was a first class experience. Great questions from the panelists from the Jonesboro Sun, KASU, and ASU TV. The responses from the two majors were MUCH more spontaneous and refreshing than those given at either the AETN debates, or the KAIT debate last week (which I was not invited to). There was little in the way of sniping between Mr. Crawford and Mr. Causey, both answered the questions that were asked with much less diversion to "talking points" as had been the case before. It was a real debate among the three of us. I though we demonstrated where we differ, displayed some personality, and offered the voters of District 1 the opportunity to decide who best represents their individual interests. As it should be.

Re: “To pork or not to pork

It doesn't matter if you vote for Lincoln or Boozman. Same thing for all practical purposes. The Republicrats are owned by corporate interests, and it doesn't matter who gets elected, or how honorable a person they may or may not be, as long as they have to answer to the party in the end. Voters need to wake up. America is hypnotized into believing that the "two party system" is the only way things work, and that these two "major parties" whether operating independently or in a "bi-partisan effort" are acting in the interests of anyone other than those profiting by said efforts. People should be able to vote for the person who best represents their interests and beliefs, and not the lesser of two evils. A vote for a Green is not a vote taken away from a Democrat, ensuring a Republican victory. It's a vote for the person who best represents the interests of that voter. If more people would start voting for what they believe, and not for the person who wears the hat with their traditional party-line emblazoned across the front, it would be a different ballgame. Arkansas deserves the Senator that gets elected, whoever that may be, and however they behave once in office.
