The Kays House should not be seen an expendable, but as a rich example of the past that should be preserved. If it is torn down, it is lost forever; if it saved and well maintained, it can still be a functional part of Arkansas State University's past, present, and future.

We have made it too easy to destroy buildings that are historical to an area. The Kays House should not be destroyed. It has much more value to the history of Arkansas State University campus than a multi-level sorority house. With more time, thought, and finding common ground, both the Kays House and the sorority houses can exist on the campus property.
