  • Race has nothing to do with mass shootings

With the exception of sex and religion, nothing makes people more irrational than race. Given the bloody history of racial disputes in American life, one would think that responsible news organizations would take particular care in addressing inflammatory topics.

Re: “Twenty problems with 20/20's coverage of the Justin Harris 'rehoming'

ABC's 20/20 took a meaty story and made a weak broth. If they spent six months on that story then they need some encouragement in the time management department.

Re: “Foster family disputes key statements from Justin Harris

Really got some good PR advise there. Keep digging Mr. Harris. You're doing real good. If it weren't for the horrible plight of these young girls, this would be fun to watch.

Re: “Rep. Nate Bell blasts adoption story before seeing it; 'rehoming' bill introduced

Something about not picking a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel. Discretion is a better part of valor. And on and on. Particularly not very smart. But less and less peculiar, for these hacks. In other words; not smart it is starting to be the new normal around the capital. Are these the cream of our crop? kb

Re: “A child left unprotected

And the puzzle becomes clearer and clearer. Kind of like grandma used to say long ago: We will understand it better by and by; and you shall know them by their fruit. This nice gem of investigative reporting from almost exactly 4 years ago is quite revealing. Sad.… kb

Re: “Senate committee defeats Ballinger's anti-gay bill, also a Sharia law attack

What type of religion would prevent you from being of assistance and accommodation to any human in order to preserve a clean conscience? The religion that I am most familiar with is centered around a man who preached a message which said one should be of assistance to all, even to ones enemies. "If your enemy thirst, give him drink." He too was surrounded by people who pretended to be, and probably actually thought they were, on God's side. He taught that you can know this kind of people by their fruit. How do they treat others? It seems clear to me that religion is being used as a pretext to not abide by the law. The supreme law of the land, civilly speaking, has made it clear that one cannot discriminate against another in the public marketplace. Any law to the contrary will undoubtedly cause the state a small fortune in legal fees before it is struck down. It isn't very complicated. Or so it sure seems, to not be, to me. peace. kb
