Re: “At press conference on 10 Commandments monument destruction, Rapert takes ACLU, Freethinkers, local media to task for 'fomenting hatred'.

Mr. Rapert, you are a disgrace to our Nation and State. Your crying crocodile tears about Christians being persecuted is the most obnoxious and offense garbage imaginable. I'm sorry for your ignorance, but the ACLU, Freethinkers and the local Media (along with National Media) are all against you simply because the Ten Commandment monument is a violation of separation of Church and State. This issue has long been declared illegal on public (government) property. For those of us who are decedents of people who died in the Holocaust from genuine persecution are unimaginably your arguments and rants are demeaning and insulting. You know nothing of persecution just as you know literally nothing of US Constitutional law. It's time for you to cease and desist with your ignorant malarkey. The Ten Commandments are fine on private and church property, but UnConstitutional on Government land. The US Government does not endorse ANY religion; it just allows you to free practice religion, except on public (Government) land. Get over it. You have been wasting Arkansas tax dollars on chipping away at hour Civil Rights for way too long. Why don't you deal with real issues in Arkansas. How is it conscionable for so many people to be homeless and go hungry in this State? If you cannot address these real issues, then you are not representing THE PEOPLE. Go back to your Mission/Church. You are not qualified to be a politician if you cannot comply with the Federal Constitution that trumps the State's constitution.

Re: “Q&A with John Boozman on the secret health care bill. Translation: Mush

Boozman's comments were typical mealy- mouth and fallacious to say the least, particularly stating that Obama-care has no mechanism to bring down costs of premiums. That's a blatant lie. First of all, it reduced Administrations costs in it's first year alone leading to many people receiving cash back at the end of the year, particularly if they didn't need to visit the doctor. Secondly, reducing costs on companies that provided medical equipment saved costs. Over all costs went down until some Insurance Companies themselves decided that they couldn't make the obscene profits they made in the past. We could make a difference if we made health care a "NOT FOR PROFIT" sector like it was before 1973. Costs for medicine are the single costly problem in health care. There is NO regulation on the costs of medications, which is wrong, and cost disparities for the same procedures, claimed to be on the basis of free-enterprise competition is nonsense. It's nothing more than sheer profiteering and that needs to stop. Other illegal profiteering continued with physicians and hospitals billing Medicare for fraudulent charges. Several notable cases were uncovered and tried in court. That needs increasing. The point being is that our Legislative Branch is supporting the lobbying efforts of the Insurers and Big Pharma and hey are receiving kickbacks as political campaign funding, as well as making money from insider trading. This corruption adds to patient's costs. WE need to eliminate insurers that will not comply with the rules and regulations. We tried free-enterprise for 50 years now, and it has failed time and time again. This must stop. We need a single-payer system and Medicare/Medicaid for all Americans and legal immigrants in our nation. Nothing less than that will fail again and again. I'm not willing to put up with a corrupt health care system that boasts the highest costs for mediocre medical in the World. That, Mr. Boozman is the truth of the matter, and I have lived in enough countries to know how mediocre our healthcare system is in comparison to Canada, Japan, Taiwan, the UK and even private medical care in Thailand. So don't give us the usual BS. I expect more from my US Senators, and it is insulting that ours in Arkansas are the worst I've experienced compared with other States.

Re: “How the 2017 Arkansas legislature made life worse for you

Thank you Governor Hutchinson for doing nothing of importance this year. Did you really earn your salary? I can assure you that many of us will be happy to put as many Do-Nothing politicians out of office in 2018. We will remember you in that equation as well.

Re: “No biscuits, or admittance, for Democrats at Bruce Westerman event in Hot Springs Village

Congressman Westerman is a disgrace to his constituents and our Nation as a whole. As a duly elected Representative, he is supposed to represent ALL of his constituents, not just those who are challenged enough to be loyal Republicans.... Well, that tells me he's Garbage in, garbage out.

Re: “Bill introduced to ban Howard Zinn books from Arkansas public schools

I'm getting more and more with the revisionism of conservatives in this State. They have emboldened themselves to dismantle this Nation based on a Secular Government that respects all Religions into a backwards theocratic State that imposes someone's narrow-brand of a hateful Christianity on others. Regressing to a make-believe past is only going to hasten the decline of America into a Third World Oligarchy of moral midgets and corrupt politicians. We are already seeing that both on the National and local level.

Re: “UPDATE: Blackface Blevins school board member gets 'Outstanding Board Member' award

Totally revolting in the 21st Century that we have morons on School Boards in this State. No wonder we are still near the bottom of all 50 States in the Union. Thank you, Mr. Bonner. You are a national disgrace.

Re: “Sen. Hester threatens game of "hard chicken" to "crash" funding for ARKids, the elderly in nursing homes, and the disabled

This minority group of Tea Party extremists holding the State hostage this way is an act of treason and terrorism if they make good on their threats and people lose their coverages. It is HIGH TIME to hold these nitwit politicians accountable for the waste of taxpayer funds they waste on bills that strip the ACA and Medicaid expansion. The damage they would cause (even as a threat) is not protected speech, but is an affront to all Americans who seek to live their lives without being denigrated by these extremists. Enough is enough.
