Free publicity? Maybe one of the things that is terribly wrong with our political system is that elected public officials who are paid with our tax dollars are busy making laws for their respective political parties, rather than making laws that respect us as voters, and are consistent with the Constitution. Not one Libertarian proposed, voted on, or signed the law in question. Not one Libertarian was consulted or, as best as I can tell, even considered, before this law was passed. Tens of thousands of Arkansans voted for Libertarian candidates in the last election. Many of those voters were not Libertarians, per se, but independents, Democrats and Republicans. I would think the voting public would be insulted by their elected officials playing politics with our laws, but what I'm hearing is "free publicity." It is said that people get the government they deserve. Let us hope not.
