A child, initials B.S., was raped in Lee County, Florida, habitually by her stepfather Richard R. McDade from when she 10 years old into her teens. Nobody would believe her so at 16 her boyfriend gave her an MP3 recorder to record evidence in a conversation with McDade in her own home. The recording put McDade in prison for life. The Florida Supreme Court has now let McDade out of prison for a new upcoming trial because, get this, McDade didn't "consent" to the recording and at the new trial the recording can't be used as key evidence. This ruling also exposes the child to felony charges for making the recording and also opens the avenue that the rapist can now sue the child for monetary damages under Chapter 935. I've just started a petition to get Florida lawmakers to change the "recording" law in Florida, Chapter 935. Please take a moment and sign this petition:
