Re: “Harding responds on blocking gay website

Sistertoldya-I guess anyone can throw a few derogatory names out there to make themselves feel better while at the same time barely making any attempt to contribute to the argument...well done.

Hogger-Right, He didnt come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. And He did by setting down a new law and by breaking the traditions of the Old Testament and Mosaic law. Plain and simple....Jesus, through living His life...made it apparent that the traditions that were set up to try and bring humans closer to him were no longer necessary.

Re: “Harding responds on blocking gay website

All of those principles were set in the Old Testament. In the Mosaic Law. When Christ came and began His teaching, He fulfilled prohpecy by laying down a new law that was both more relevant, and more appropriate for His followers. Not to mention that some concepts as slavery, etc are considered cultural difference and really aren't even relevant in this argument.

Re: “Harding responds on blocking gay website

The fact of the matter is, Harding University, being a student myself, has a set of rules that are set in place according to their mission statement and their beliefs. I think that if you choose to place yourself in an enviorment or society where there are an external set of rules that are expected to be followed, then you should follow them. That is the very basis for which any society in any culture can survive with any degree of order. No one made said students attend. And if you can not comply with the rules and standards of the university, the consequence is that you are asked to leave. This basic concept is no different anywhere else.

And there is a difference between someone who is honestly trying to get help and move on from this, and one who is angry at the world and feeling like they are being hated and treated badly. Those are the ones who have a chip on their shoulder and are to blind, no arrogant to see their circumstance, in a different light. Those who are trying to change have taken it upon themselves to make a proactive effort to better themselves...realzing that it is possible to move on from a said lifestyle if you have the desire and conviction for change...and that is commendable in all regards.
