The most important component that was not schedule and is the key to children succeeding in their academic endeavors based upon the research is parental involvement.

Re: “City Director Erma Hendrix unhappy about bike lanes

@Arkansas Panic Fan - Please do not try to think for me or be condescending towards me because I know where the money is coming from - The State of Arkansas as well as the City of Little Rock. Just as the State of Arkansas has neglected Asher (Highway 5), Arch St. (Highway 367), Roosevelt Road (Highway 67) and other State highways that run through the City of Little Rock. Just because the State donates money, funds will be spent by the City of Little Rock on this project, whether using the personnel of the City or other assets of the City, City funds will be used.

Re: “City Director Erma Hendrix unhappy about bike lanes

@Michael Roberts - That is my desire also, however; the reality is that not all neighborhoods have done better and some roads in those neighborhoods are a travesty in addition to the drainage and sidewalk needs, but all people have not step up to the plate to insure that this type of equality exists.

Re: “City Director Erma Hendrix unhappy about bike lanes

Max Brantley, a white member of the press and Arkansas Times, did not disclose the full conversation. The issues is and was not about race, but about the appearance and action of neglecting a population who have paid taxes and have their concerns ignored. While others would like to interject race into this conversation, then so be it, however; the obvious cannot be overlooked. The elitist obtain what they want and the hell with everybody else.

Re: “Robert McCord dies at 84

Max, I share your sentiments. Bob was not only a great journalist, but a good friend and confidant.

Re: “The nullification open line

Amendment XIII
Section 1.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Anytime that there is an exception, then nothing has been totally abolished.
