Re: “Attack on free speech clears House committee

All the talk of these conservative small government types.... pass bill after bill for corporations to do whatever they want and then bill after bill to control people. Guess they really need to read the constitution:

[1] The First Amendment states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.Aug 24, 2016

Re: “"Amazon tax" passes out of Senate, on to House

This is not shocking is it really that the legislature would find a way to get taxes after they ceremoniously applaud themselves for lowering taxes. If the statement is correct that the state will get revenue in the order of tens of millions of dollars, it is actually saying that Arkansans will pay tens of millions of dollars. It is my belief that all those groups with tax exemptions will not pay, so maybe it should be every person and entity purchasing those tangible items.

Re: “John Walker rejects city apology for arrest during filming of police

Excellent refusal of a disingenuous act by the city and the police department. Now to take the city and police department to court for harassment and abuse of police authority.

Re: “Little Rock police to drop charge against Walker, apologize

Gee, they did not figure on someone having intelligence enough to take them to court. Now how about harassment, lack of probable cause and the police actually breaking the law. . . hmmmm.... as the worm turns.... lol

Re: “Gov. Asa Hutchinson: Syrian refugees unwelcome in Arkansas

Seems if you put this blog on the Asa page, it gets deleted.

Re: “A Tale of two Democratic parties

Shenanigans your call it Arkansas Times? What are people to do when the political process is broken and now the proof is in that a party was open to what can be described as electoral fraud with collusion from not only the candidate but the DNC.

"Electoral fraud or vote rigging is illegal interference with the process of an election. Acts of fraud affect vote counts to bring about an election result, whether by increasing the vote share of the favored candidate, depressing the vote share of the rival candidates, or both. What constitutes electoral fraud under law varies from country to country." Wikipedia

“Our masters have not heard the people's voice for generations and it is much, much louder than they care to remember.”
― Alan Moore, V for Vendetta

I am not a conservative but I can now say I am no longer a Democrat. People within the GOP tried to fight the nomination of Trump but they did not mess with the primaries (Cruz being an exception to that in my view) while the Democratic Party under its leadership actually pulled the shenanigans of which you speak. And now the Wikileaks have shown to all how corrupt the party is; at least that is my view of things.
