This truly is disheartening. As a Psychology student, I personally find learning German to be the most logical option. I am a person who is quite aware of the fact that much meaning gets lost in translation of languages. Many of the early psychology works were written in German as it was German psychologists, like Frued, who created the basis for this superb study.

This also impacts the business community as well. Germany is considered to be the back bone of the Euro. As a business student, understanding German also makes international business studies easier, as one does not have to wait and hope that the reports they wish to read will be translated into English for them.
