Re: “Dear Little Rock,

Publishing this in the DG, Washington Post or flying a banner would be money well spent, assuming City of LR leadership can pull its head out of the sand long enough to actually see it. I say we all write letters. #Letter2LR

Re: “Prison officials announce tighter security, more isolation cells to curb violence

Additional security measures after the fact versus preventative security and at-risk programs on the streets. Genius. I glad was have our priorities in line. Ugh.

Re: “Supreme Court asked to block Mississippi gay discrimination law

The general public can police this. Just don't spend your dollars at a place that denies service to whatever group you support, then start a grass roots social media publicity campaign that will shed a negative light on the business. Seriously, exercise your right to free speech, the world will follow and the business will fail.
We don't necessarily need laws prohibiting something when we can just exercise the rights we already have, creating desired impact.

Re: “Comcast announces Internet upgrade

Data limit caps and/or throttling will surely be standard for those that make use of the gig. Most web servers can't even respond at that speed. Better not ask about upload speeds. Comcast doesn't do symmetrical anything.

Re: “Arkansas officials react to mass shooting

The gun control problem is irreversible.
Anyone that thinks pushing gun control laws today will somehow prevent illegal acts tomorrow is sadly mistaken. There are enough guns on the streets today to last the crazies three lifetimes. Never mind the fact that when mental health is a factor, laws do not matter.

Re: “McCain says no on Graham-Cassidy

Say what you want about his affiliation or his record, at least this once he has put politics aside. Whether you are for or against proposed changes, Senator McCain's suggests a slow approach and thorough review of any POTENTIAL changes.

Re: “Thursday's open line and the afternoon roundup

Open line showed up just after I posted this in another thread.
Interesting district court case going on right now concerning the City of NLR and a business operating without a license in a residential zone crushing concrete. Mayor Smith cut a deal with the business owner to prevent halting the progression on the I-440 construction. Now it's up to the district judge on whether or not the business is fined for ignoring the NLR city council's denial of a permit for use back in February. Based on a recent article in the DG, sounds like there was a handshake deal between the mayor and the business owner. Business owner lost with the City. We shall see if the courts fine it or not.
