Here's some arcana reeking of 2017 that I'm banning from consideration, attention, even out-loud mention in 2018. I'm unfriending all this 2017-reminding shit. It's dead to me in 2018.

Re: “Dateline DeQueen: Cockfighting and immigrants

I'd be happy to send Olphart a few companions for his pet. They're plentiful in the flatlands of Grant County.

Add Southland Greyhounds to the mix of animals that may not survive the races/contests. My only misgiving about the new casino amendment is throwing more money toward Oaklawn and Southland. If they both JUST had machine gambling/tables, I wouldn't care what people do with their money.

Re: “Monday: An open line and the headlines

Alex Jones thinks Democrats will be declaring a Civil War on July 4. Seriously? Who declares a Civil War on a Wednesday, when so many of us have to go back to work on Thursday?

Re: “Jared Henderson crows about Hutchinson's letter to task force on grocery tax

I believe they're also looking through the list of other previously excluded services so they can start charging state sales tax on other items. Not sure what that would include.

To me, charging sales tax on prescription drugs would be the same as charging sales tax on things like doctor and hospital visits. Who would pay the prescription tax? Insurance?

Aaron is a powerful force for good in Central Arkansas. Keep up the great work!

Don't just fund the teachers. Fund the schools.

Re: “Trump administration moves forward with effort to sabotage the census

Speaking about the American Community Survey... I just looked at the newest version, and they already ask the Citizenship question. Granted, only something like 3% of the population is ever asked to fill out the ACS.

See: Page 8, Question 8.

Re: “Trump administration moves forward with effort to sabotage the census

I refused a number of years back to answer the American Community Survey (Census Bureau) because it asked (IMO) far too many personal questions, including questions about when I leave for work, how long my commute is, how many working toilets I have, if I've ever been considered mentally ill, how much my mortgage is, as well as utilities. They DID send someone to my home -- twice -- and I advised that person that I refused to participate and closed the door in her face. They sent the pamphlet by FedEx twice, along with a nice, threatening letter.

And then they did nothing.

Me? I'd refuse to answer the question, even though I was born a citizen.
