Re: “Arkansas’s overloaded foster care system

I would live to share my experience as a Sebastian County Foster home, closed in September 2012 due to not getting correct paperwork to the local DCFS office, we had 8 children, 4 adopted, 3 waiting on an adoption day and 1 that should have been placed back with mom months before. Kristen Shelton, who was acting Area manager for the week decided my home should be closed, because of my lack to do paper work, though it was obvious she had been waiting to close my home and had issues with my Facebook page. After out home was closed the oldest child had Judge Speer who removed her from Foster care and gave perminate custody to my husband and I, we had 2 sister both mentally delayed the younger with a genetic disorder called Rett Syndrome, were removed from our home. Separated the sister with the genetic disorder was imprisioned at Arkansas Pediatric Facility, her sister with a pervertex pedophile preacher who was arrested shortly after her arrival for kidnapping and inappropriate sexual relations with a minor.
Desperate to bring the sisters home and adopt them, note the state used well over 20,000 on training and out of state doctors I sought out to learn the best care for the younger sister. We hired an attorney after hitting brick walls with state employees. After 5 months, 24 hours of courtroom testimony Mark Hewett denied the adoption of the girls, which came as a complete shock after every comment he made in court pointed out the damage that had been brought to the girls being removed from the only family they had known.
My family has been thru a living nightmare because of Kristen Shelton, Robbie McKay and Cecile Blucker, who by the way has no experience working with children, Cecile's work experience was always in a financial field and she and her husband never had children.
I hope and pray somehow the Sebastian county DCFS gets it together, the system is causing much more harm to the children than the abusive or neglectful home they were removed from
