What I noticed was when the crash came and home values plummeted properties taxes virtually stayed the same. Now, we have bought into the false assumption that the economy is improving. The State raised appraised values, now you are paying more property taxes on real property that are still 20% what they were before the crash. Our homes are worth less and we are having to pay more property taxes based on their higher assessed values. 25% is no more than a sliding scale to establish a false market value mindset. Property taxes will continue to increase as long as the States expenditures must be met. Which is never ending and always increasing. It's part of the States 5-year plan knowing the dollar will lose another 50% of its purchasing power. The dollar lost 50% of its purchasing power in the last 15 years. Expect to go under.
