Re: “Governor announces joint partnership to target Little Rock crime

And why did it take a massive shooting for law enforcement to announce "we're going to work together to solve this". It's not like a growing crime rate was a secret. Shame on Law Enforcement and City/County officials for waiting for 25 people to get shot to pretend to care. Oh, yeah -- because this one happened within eyeshot of the big banks downtown. It didn't happen in the hood. And because admitting you have a violence problem is bad for business. Like it was a secret before.

Re: “Bell: still has doubts on expansion even with "private option"

I wish all the GOP House Members who continue to opposed Medicaid Expansion citing concern over the federal deficit would remember: they were elected to be concerned about and represent the concerns of a small area of Arkansas. If they want to be worried about the Federal budget, they should run for Congress. Medicaid Expansion is about service to those in their district who are without medical coverage. period.

Re: “Joan Adcock rips airport

Really? $40K to be on the field of a single High School? And a faith based school at that with public money? I don't know which is dumber - The actual advertising expense, or thinking the lame explanation/rationalization would be accepted without further comment.
The airport needs good PR. Why? Not because we're going to drive to Memphis to fly. But because sooner or later they will want public acceptance of a vote to expand a bond, or for a sales tax, or something. The Airport is still a government organization. They would be smart to remember that. I'll bet the commission has more than a little to say about it.
