Yes BlindSheep but you are still a security guard and do not hold any more legal authority then the average citizen. the fact that you assume we are blind sheep and you are some sort of guardian sheepdog ( I know the VP loves using this metaphore) is hilarious. In the extremely unlikely event of a terrorist attack or any other situation on Stephens' property ; local law enforcement will take over the scene once they arrive. This will happen within minutes. Regardless of how many simulator rounds you have shot, how well you can shoot with your off hand and how slow you can run your mile and a half run in, you are unqualified to carry out any legal law enforcement activities. Think about it; how many security guards are known (or famous) for having a positive influence on society or for changing the world? Don't make yourself out to be something you are not.

I worked security for Stephens inc while I attended college. Aware of how mindless security work is, I knew this would be a great job while I focused on finishing my undergraduate degree. After reading all the comments I thought I would give a little insight into what really goes on inside this security department. First of all Stephens Inc. security is a far cry from a private security force. The only difference between Stephens Inc. security and other low end security is the difference in pay. Stephens inc pays their guards extremely well. Now to get down to business.....There are two types of security guards working for Stephens Inc . First, have the typical uneducated and inexperienced career security guards. These guards typically have all attempted to and failed the entrance testing for the local police departments. They have the mentality that since they carry a weapon and a fake badge, they have inherited some sort of policing powers. What they lack in intelligence they make up in arrogance. The other type of guard working for Stephens is a young (under 30) male, has served 5-10 years in the military and has served in combat on multiple tours. Most of these guards are intelligent, level headed and mature. Most of them are working on their college degrees, volunteering in our community and are building their resumes. They understand that this job is a job and not a career. To them it is simply a stepping stone. Thus explaining the extremely high turn over rate. The reason for the contrasting quality of guards at Stephens inc is due to changes to the policy and hiring requirements when the new VP took charge. Aware of the low quality of personal attracted to the security field; the new VP changed the education and experience requirements in order to build a more professional department. Most of the original guards were let go for not meeting these new standards. Those guards were replaced by the young military type I mentioned earlier. A few of the original guards that didn't meet these new standards were strategically picked to fill low level management positions. The VP wanted to have low level managers that followed blindly, lacked any leadership qualities, lacked any formal education and lacked any world experiences. The reason for this was that the VP wanted to have full control of the department. By having low level managers that lacked the ability to lead, the VP could use these people as puppets to carry out his objectives. To give you an example of the type of managers he kept on let's use the manager of security at the Stephens Inc. private golf club. He is a high school drop out, worked as a prison guard for a few years and has never left this part of the country. When writing reports and policies his grammar and spelling are on a 7th grade level. Simply put, he lacks interpersonal skills, intellect and intelligence. He is uneducated, narrow minded and very simple; a perfect fit for a career security guard. All he simply has to do is hand down the orders coming from his boss. For his blind obedience and his inability to think critically; he is paid a salary of around $60,000 a year. Unless you are talking about sports or hunting you could not hold a conversation with this man. I personally found his inability to think critically and intelligently amusing . Sometimes I would bring up a very complex political subject just to hear him mimic the commentary on fox news. It was almost as if I had hit the rewind on the dvr. While I had already left Stephens by the time the incident happened with the surgeon general;I can assure you the decisions Farque made on this night were a direct reflection of the poor management working at Stephens inc. So if there is blame to be put I would put less on Farque and more on his senior officer who was working that night. I just thought I would share this with you all.
