Re: “Mountain lion killed by deer hunter in South Arkansas

I would like to add one more comment here.....I know Doug Ramer real well. If Doug Ramer tells you he felt threatened, you can believe that. Doug is a very dedicated sportsman and a good Christian man. To me, his word is the gospel and I will always take it as the truth, without any reservation. He is not one of these "bad image, jacked up, super hyper" if it moves shoot it sportsman.

Re: “Mountain lion killed by deer hunter in South Arkansas

This cat was killed just east of where I lived when I was at Hermitage. The man that killed it is a friend of mine and hunted with the camp that was at the end of our road. I have seen a cat the same color as this one in my backyard when I lived there. I also seen one this color on Potlatch land across the road in front of my house. I watched another one that was more "grayish" in color rolling in the dust in one of my shooting lanes on afternoon about 3pm. I watched that cat for about 10 minutes. I don't believe it ever seen me. I was about 150 yards from it that afternoon. OF COURSE...the AGFC informed me rather rudely that there were no cats in Arkansas and basically told me all I was wanting was some attention. The AGFC has always denied that cats lived in Arkansas. They had a hard time explaining that in the late 60's when Harold Watts from Bastrop, LA also killed a panther just east of Hamburg in the area known as Bearhouse Creek.
