Guilty until proven innocent. That is the new "norm" now. No longer is it "guilty beyond a doubt". Now, it is encumbant upon the accused to prove their innocence "beyond a shadow of a doubt". Trust me, been there, done that. No longer does the justice system adhere to the phrase "let one guilty person go to keep 100 innocent ppl out of prison". Society has demanded, and gotten the justice system to put 100 ppl in jail to get the one. They figure if they are tere, they must have done something to deserve being there. In the military, we called that collateral damage. As long as "it is for the benefit of society", ppl for the most part don't care what the watchdogs do. But one has to wonder, who is watching the watchdogs?
