Re: “Arkansas's Top 10 places to visit

This list is a total failure without inclusion of the Buffalo River.

Re: “Arkansas farmer featured on "Here and Now"

Another reminder why that region is properly called the Arkansas River Flood Plain, not the Delta.

Re: “Water recedes, westbound I-40 is open again

Good point citizen1. What we call the delta is properly called the Mississippi Flood Plain. It is meant to flood and not send all the water down stream. We can build levees all along the river, but IMHO protecting farmland with levees is short sighted of the Corps.

Re: “Injured man awarded Dogpatch

As far as I know Arkansas has a law on the books that holds land owners blameless if someone is doing outdoor recreation on their property. I know this applies to caving because I do that. I guess this doesn't apply to ATV. Also, I love the I AM DISAPPOINT reference co led.

Re: “In flooding: Who and what to protect?

The row croppers will not be complaining for the next 5 years when their yields are increased. They also should be able to get in a late season crop of beans that will further enrich the soil. I'm not sure in the Corps or their crop insurance will compensate them, but they won't be hurting too bad. My condolences if they still lived on their land.

Re: “Griffin visits Head Start, GOP cut target

According to KUAR Congresscritter Griffin later regretted voting for cuts to Head Start because his mother worked for them. He said he was happy that the cuts were absent from the final bill. He is a creep and a future crook, but I just wanted to add this out of fairness.

Re: “Oddities abound

Be brave Kat! If this is still run by three very friendly Thai ladies with a yellow wagon go eat here next time you're in the Fort. They made the best sweet and spicy fried rice and they even would remember to use corn as the only veggie since I hate peas. Sadly I don't live in Fort Smith now, but I remember before I was introduced to this place a friend asked me, "Do you mind iffy restaurants? As in, better get a hepatitis shot afterwords?" Of course "Fried Rice" as it used to be called was perfectly clean, just without the standard restaurant quality equipment.

Short verson: give it a shot. I'm not sure about the chicken or "donuts".

KAT: Sweet... and spicy... fried rice? My curiosity is piqued.
