Re: “Fired director rehired at Mosaic Templars museum

A first!? You were informed of a similar instance a year or so ago involving another DAH agency and its director who was about to be terminated but was brought back by the Guv. A particular non-profit, that a member of your staff has/had ties to, played a role in lobbying the Guv's office to bring that person back. Could that bias have prevented you all from reporting? Just asking.

Re: “DJ Tommy Smith arrested in Little Rock

Hogwarts, your whats known in the trade as an enabler. He seems to have alot of those around him.

He didnt do it on purpose!? Two pints of booze and xanax just accidentally fell into his mouth? He accidentally got into a car and drove under the influence? What a load your pushing. You dont get more purposeful than what he did.

Glad to know you can let bygones be bygones. You would probably be singing a different tune if it was your family member the hit and runner Tommy Smith plowed into. Just remember, no one was hurt by your addict buddy this time. What will happen if he relapses again? Want to be responsible then?

Re: “DJ Tommy Smith arrested in Little Rock

"For some of these more negative comments, is this how you would feel or talk if it were a member of your family?"

You have heard TS and other Buzzers regularly ridicule others (homosexuals, overweight women, ethnic groups) on air, even those experiencing hardships haven't you? Whats good for the goose is good for the gander. If my family member drove drunk, hitting someone else with the potential to kill or permanently injure them I would verbally and physically pound them into the ground - then tell them I was going to do everything possible to help and then get them into the best residential rehab I could afford.

"it's not the first time and probably won't be the last (how many of us are perfect?)"

God, I hope it is the last time he drives drunk and hits another car. Next time he might succeed in killing or permanently injuring someone.

Re: “DJ Tommy Smith arrested in Little Rock

Listening to the Buzz as the Show with No Name came on air this morning, the "Spazz" said something had happened to Tommy but they couldn't talk about it. I understand why they aren't talking on air about it (trying to maintain advert. clients) but can't quite let the hypocrisy go. Local, regional, or national figures of note that have some downfall are generally ripped to shreds over many days on the Buzz. When it happens to one of their own (Pat Bradley, Clint Stoerner, Tommy Smith) they clam up tight.

Tommy Smith and company on the Show with No Name are especially misogynistic, xenophobic, and homophobic. He's not an asset to Central Arkansas, he's just been around a long time, the local talent pool is limited, and what other talented folks are out there have never gotten a shot. His career has been a rip-off of David Letterman and Howard Stern.

Wonder if Frank Fletcher will hook him up with another nice Dodge to run around in.
