Re: “God and gays at Harding University

"This is one of the FEW, VERY FEW Christian schools that offers counseling to homosexual students instead of instantly expelling them. "

Not to be mean, but that's a very ignorant statement. There are hundred's of schools in this nation that are Christian affiliated and completely OK with gays. Maybe you should say "very few evangelical christian schools" or "conservative christian schools" or "church of christ affiliated schools." Don't lump all Christian schools into the same pot, because VERY FEW christian schools instantly expel for this type of thing.

Re: “God and gays at Harding University

"O.o um, if you are gay, why did you go to harding? What a joke. IT IS A PRIVATE, RELIGIOUS SCHOOL. I can't stand xtians, but give me a break. If the school's teachings are counter to your lifestyle, go somewhere else."

You're right, it IS a private religious school. But you do not know WHY the gay students are at that school. You don't know if they were FORCED to go. You don't know their financial, family, or educational situation. It isn't exactly easy to pick up, and change schools. Especially if you are forced to go. Also, the students don't seem to WANT to leave. They want to be heard, they are encouraging their school and the church they love to recognize them, and maybe, change their point of view. I go to a private, religious university. I'm gay. I'm in no situation to leave because of it. I don't want to either.
