Re: “Monday's open line. Children in cages

A man with a megaphone shouts "Make America Great" while wearing a "Make America Great Again " hat.
Then he appoints his chief law enforcer who says with a smile that scripture supports taking children from their parents even when the parents acted out of desperation to protect their children.
This administration has made America appear mean and weak. Trump"s way is not the American way.
Sessions compounded the problem by hiding behind scripture and more importantly ignoring scriptures that command believers to love our neighbors.
Trump blames everyone else. Trump has the power to change this policy immediately.
Does anyone in this administration have a child, a grandchild, a heart, a New Testament with color print, a conscience, or an ounce of compassion?
Write, tweet, call and do whatever you can to help correct this injustice.

Re: “O say can you see: The White House as TV show

King Donald should issue an executive order to require that a military band play Tom Petty's It's Good to be King every time he is introduced.

Re: “Linda Collins-Smith drops bathroom bill for this session

Looks like Arkansas Times will have to withdraw the ad previously planned for publication on April 1, 2017:

Help Wanted:

Bathroom Birth Certificate Checkers

Part-time positions available across Arkansas. Pay is minimum wage with no benefits other than bathroom breaks (with valid birth certificate).

Help protect your fellow citizens while working part-time in the Natural State.

These jobs were created by your forward thinking legislature. The positions would have been full time but many of your faithful servants in the legislature have volunteered (subject of course to per diem reimbursement and any food or drinks supplied by generous entities that might decide to support our caring representatives) to work as bathroom birth certificate checkers in their spare time in order to protect their constituents.

Per diem reimbursement and food and drinks will not be available to regular citizens. The legislature has determined that could create a potential conflict of interest.

Checkers must have proof of completion of the intense training required to carry firearms as all bathroom birth certificate checkers must be armed at all times.

Re: “Committee approves bill targeting Sharia law

Questions for Rep Smith:

Any research into the origins of the law incorporated in the planned 10 Commandments monument?

How in the world can this bill be a priority for any elected representative?

Re: “Collins' campus carry bill passes out of House committee

I would be willing to vote for a constitutional amendment to limit legislative sessions to 2 days every 10 years.
