Re: “Snoop to Riverfest

One of the greatest lineups ever....not. For the 21 and under crowd I guess it would be an ok lineup. Joe Walsh maybe the saving grace this year.....the buzz among long time Riverfest attendees.....the ones that spend money there and take their families is that they problably won't be attending. A long weekend at the lake house and hanging out on the boat sounds so much better this year!

Re: “Snoop to Riverfest

I'm not saying bring back the same acts. Bring in acts of the same caliber that we have had in the past....acts of the same nostalgic feel of the 70's, 80's and early 90's. That has always been the type of music that Riverfest is famous for. I could draw up a huge list of acts that would fit the bill of what Riverfest has always been about. All I'm saying is that they have lost alot of the "music mood" if you will, the last two years. It doesn't have the same feel as it did the last 33 years.......and I know that those of us who have attended Riverfest over the years would agree....

I was just hoping and expecting a better lineup for the 35th anniversary.....oh well, maybe they can save and blow it out for the 40th anniversary.....until then, I will be sending them suggestions...... ;)

Re: “What happened to Paty?

Very, very sad.....prayers to the family of this beautiful girl. I am an alumni of UALR and can remember parking in that very parking lot years ago as an Art major and never even
thinking about something like this happening. The area has changed alot though over the years and one does have to be very careful. I have faith the killer(s) will be caught, God will see to it.

Re: “Snoop to Riverfest

I fail to see why past bands at Riverfest would be considered terrible music. You must be very young......you would have to have been around for many Riverfests to even know what I am talking about.......like I said, it's just not the same and I know alot of people will agree with me.

Re: “Skynyrd, Little Big Town to Riverfest

Very disappointed in the Riverfest lineup as I know alot of other people are.....just not what it used to be.....whatever happened to the old school bands? Bringing bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, Huey Lewis, Chakka Kahn, Steve Miller Band, the Black Crowes, Al Green, Styx, BB King, the Doobie Bros, Train, Better than Ezra, Heart.....is really the way to go. Hall & Oates would have been an awesome headliner and I could name countless others that would draw a better crowd than what is offered this year. Whoever is in charge of the music has really missed the mark these last two years. This being the 35th anniversary, one would think the lineup would be stellar. Would really like to see brought back a mix of old R&B, 80's Rock and 90's/ early 2000's bands. You have to remember that the majority of the people that are spending money at Riverfest are the 70's and 80's, early 90's generation of parents who are bringing their children and in some cases, grandchildren and the music should cater to the 35 to 50+ crowd as well. I vote for bringing back the Riverfest music we all know and love.....
